ABOUT SAFE CLUB
Today, the world is facing its most evident yet underestimated crisis- climate change. Over the past few decades, we have witnessed an increase in average global temperatures, the rise in sea levels, a substantial decrease in the arctic ice cover, and the extinction of thousands of species and so on.
Yet, climate change and environmental sustainability are not on the action list of most summits and conferences across the globe.
The Sustainability and Forest Education Club, also known as S.A.F.E., is the only club in the Department of Professional Studies that works to address environmental and animal welfare-related concerns. S.A.F.E. Club focuses on reducing our carbon footprint on the environment and creating a safer world for the voiceless by initiating and taking part in activities that promote sustainability and animal welfare.
We have even collaborated with organizations like Wildlife SOS, an NGO that aims to protect wildlife across the country through their various initiatives, some of which are the bear and elephant rehabilitation programs.
As members of the club, we are also involved in supporting their routine activities in the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Center, which helps in the rehabilitation of the rescued bears.

OUR VISION
To spread awareness about environmental issues, conduct drives, facilitate 3R’s initiatives and provide volunteer support to other organizations which also work towards the betterment of animals and the environment.
